Detention of a vehicle with its further placement in an impound parking lot is always a very sad event. Step 1
You can get a vehicle from the impound in person, or issue a power of attorney from a notary for one of your relatives or friends.
Step 2
In accordance with the current legislation, the car can be detained and placed in a car parking lot until the reasons that led to the detention are eliminated. The arrest of the car is reported to the duty unit of the territorial body of internal affairs. And already the operational duty officer of the internal affairs body must establish the identity of the owner of the vehicle and inform him about the detention of the car. Although in practice, you have to find out the location of the car yourself.
Step 3
To perform elementary actions to return the vehicle, you will need your documents: license and registration certificate. If the detention took place without your presence and the documents were left in the evacuated car, you will need to draw up acts of opening the car in the impoundment parking lot in order to seize the documents. After that, acts of sealing will be drawn up.
Step 4
Now contact the traffic police department, where you will be given a copy of the protocol on an administrative offense and pay the fine on the spot. You can ask for a receipt for the payment of the fine. Many try to pay off the fines immediately, hoping to get their car as soon as possible, but they forget or simply do not know about their right to appeal the protocol of the vehicle's arrest within 10 to 30 days from the date of signing the protocol on the administrative offense.
Step 5
The inspector will give you a permit for the right to collect the vehicle from the parking lot.
With this permission to receive the vehicle, go to the specified parking lot and you can get your car by paying for the time of its maintenance, if the car is in the parking lot for more than a day.
Step 6
Be sure to inspect your car for missing items and damage, and only then sign the documents.
