In winter, due to severe frosts, the battery in cars quickly runs out. It is not necessary to panic and resort to the help of a car service. You can start the car yourself.
Instructions
Step 1
In winter, there are often severe frosts. At low temperatures, the car battery runs out twice as fast as usual. If the car does not start, the battery is most likely running out of energy. There are several ways in which you can correct the situation. The first and easiest is towing. Since the battery does not have enough power to start the starter, it must be unscrewed "manually". Ask passing motorists to help you.
Step 2
Connect the two machines with a cable. Squeeze out the clutch all the way and do not let go, then shift into second gear and give a signal to the towing vehicle. At a speed of about thirty kilometers per hour, the starter will start. Then, shift into neutral and release the clutch pedal.
Step 3
Another way is called "lighting". In this case, you also need to resort to the help of passing cars. Get someone to recharge your car for a bit. Turn off the ignition in both cars. Then connect the cables from the discharged battery to the working one as follows: "plus" to the positive terminal, "minus" to a sufficiently remote point (to the body or to the cylinder block).
Step 4
Now you need to start the car with a working battery. The driver needs to "accelerate" a little in order to have enough energy to recharge. After a while, your car will start, after which you can remove the cables and hit the road.
Step 5
If there are no passing cars nearby, seek help from passers-by. Ask your car to be pushed. Squeeze out the clutch all the way and shift into second or third gear. Then, after accelerating, the car will start to shake a little, but then it will start. On a discharged battery, you will not be able to get far. Therefore, it is recommended to get to the nearest car service and recharge.
