The tire is the most important part of the wheel. Its main task is to ensure normal contact with the road surface. This means that it absorbs any vibrations associated with road defects - potholes, cracks and foreign objects. One of the main indicators of a tire is the level of internal pressure.
Instructions
Step 1
Depending on the level of internal pressure, tires are divided into high pressure tires - 4.5-7.5 kg / cm2, low pressure - 2-4.25 kg / cm2 and ultra-low pressure - 0.75-1.75 kg / cm2. The main design feature of high-pressure tires is a lower air volume, a correspondingly higher number of cord layers and, most importantly, high internal pressure. In addition, they are significantly inferior to low-pressure tires in terms of traction and shock absorption.
Step 2
The advent of all-terrain vehicles - all-terrain vehicles - led to the creation of tires with low and ultra-low pressure. The low pressure inside the tires contributes to the fact that a much larger "patch" of contact is formed, due to which the weight of the all-terrain vehicle is more evenly distributed over several such "spots", which leads to a sharp decrease in the specific pressure on the ground.
Step 3
Use ultra-low pressure tires on special all-terrain vehicles for off-road, swampy terrain, snow drifts, sand and tundra. Some ATVs with such wheels are even capable of swimming over small water obstacles. Wheels with low pressure tires are larger and more expensive, which may not be affordable for everyone.
Step 4
If you are engaged in the creation of all-terrain vehicles, then give preference to the use to create off-road wheels - pneumatics, cameras of decommissioned helicopters and airplanes. When this is not possible, use cameras from trucks, ATVs and agricultural trailers.
Step 5
Attach the cameras to the wheel rims with belts, using the transport tape from agricultural machines. The advantages of homemade tires include the absence of the need for a suspension, and the disadvantages are the low resource and fragility of the cameras.
