Step 1
Drive the car into the garage and apply the parking brake. Place the transmission lever in neutral. Open the hood and disconnect the negative terminal from the battery. This will de-energize the vehicle and reduce the risk of short circuits to zero. Open the front door as far as possible. If the car is tilted and the door does not hold open, insert something between the body and the door, such as a block of wood or a rolled-up newspaper.
Step 2
Locate the two Phillips head screws in the recess in the plastic door handle. Unscrew them carefully with a Phillips screwdriver. Pry off the plastic part with the end of a flat screwdriver and pull up. It should slide off the latches and move up. Pull it carefully out of the grooves. Find the block from the back. Press the shoe lock and remove the shoe from the connector.
Step 3
Find the plug at the bottom of the salon lining, remove it. You will see a bolt head. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove this screw. Use a flat screwdriver to pry off the trim and remove it. Remove the three bolts at the very bottom of the door. They attach the upholstery to the base of the door. Unscrew the door striker button housing. After that, carefully pry off the casing with a screwdriver. It is attached with plastic caps. They break very easily, so buy a few dozen new caps in advance.
Step 4
Disconnect the speaker connector. Remove the screws holding the chrome door lock handle. Remove it and loosen the cable tension. Remove the corrugation with wires from the technical opening. Remove the side mirror cover and unscrew the bolts holding the mirror housing. Complete analysis of the door is complete.
