Skoda has established itself on the road as a quality car that faithfully serves its owner. The most popular models in the Russian car market are Fabia and Octavia. Let's consider how to remove the seats in these machines.
Instructions
Step 1
If your vehicle is equipped with side airbags and heated seats, be sure to disconnect the negative battery cable. Look under the bottom of the seats and disconnect the pads of wires that are connected to the warning lamp responsible for the position of the unfastened seat belts. Also disconnect the heater and airbag connectors, if any.
Step 2
Then slide the seat back as far as possible and remove the bolts that secure the front of the seat rail. Then return the seat to its original position by sliding it forward as far as it will go. Unscrew the rear sled attachment and gently pull the seat towards you. Remove it carefully from the passenger compartment and set it aside.
Step 3
To remove the rear seats, first remove the head restraints from both backrests. Then lift the cushion at the front edge, pull at the rear and place it behind the front seat backs in an upright position. Locate the wire clips and gently wring out by pushing them in the direction shown by the arrows. Disengage them and remove the pillow from the passenger compartment.
Step 4
Pull out the release button and fold back the seat backrests after loosening them. Take a screwdriver in your hands and use it to squeeze out the next lock. Then pull up and out the seat pin from the side support. Remove the cover that covers the center seat support and remove the backrest bracket.
Step 5
Then remove the first backrest from the vehicle. Remove the second backrest from the passenger compartment in the same way. Install the front and rear seats in the reverse order, making sure that all latches click into place and fit exactly into place. If necessary, replace worn parts and machine assemblies.
