An immobilizer is an electronic anti-theft device that immobilizes a vehicle. It breaks electrical circuits in the motor unit. As a rule, the installation of this device takes place in the most important places for the machine, for example, on the electrical circuits of the starter, ignition or engine. Therefore, if an intruder managed to open your car and even sink inside, then he definitely cannot steal it. But sometimes the driver himself needs to turn off the immobilizer on his car.
It is necessary
- - insulating tape;
- - a computer;
- - soldering iron;
- - programmer loader PAK.
Instructions
Step 1
The immobilizer must be unlocked exclusively by the owner of the car, who can perform this operation using a coded contact key, a radio signal from a key fob or a tag card. When you get to work, remember that, as a rule, the immobilizer consists of an electromagnetic relay and a control unit recognized by the key control unit.
Step 2
As a rule, the control unit for the standard immobilizer in Renault is located at the level of the radio tape recorder behind the center console. Remove the connector from the device control unit. You can easily feel it with your hand. Remember, the connector has twenty pins. Cut off the 18th and 9th wire from the connector and connect them together, not forgetting to insulate.
Step 3
Replace the electronic control unit (ECU) with the engine. But since the cost of the ECU is quite high, it can simply be reprogrammed. To do this, use a computer, a soldering iron, and a PAK loader programmer prepared in advance.
Step 4
Dismantle and disassemble the electronic engine control unit. Now you can start reprogramming the control unit. Connect the PAK loader to the controller, after which you need to read its FLASH and EEPROM firmware.
Step 5
Make sure to save the firmware on your computer. Fill the firmware with a clean EEPROM into the control unit. Disconnect the controller and the PAK bootloader. Remember to reinstall the immobilizer controller and connector. Start the engine.
