The more complex the alarm, the more difficult it is for a criminal to steal a car. Of course, under normal circumstances, this only gives confidence in the future. However, if something goes wrong, can you turn off the alarm yourself?
It is necessary
- - instructions for signaling;
- - nippers;
- - screwdriver.
Instructions
Step 1
When buying and installing an alarm, be sure to ask a car dealership or service workshop about the features of the installed alarm. Ask for a briefing.
Step 2
Pay attention to the location of the dedicated button. In the middle-level alarms, the Valet button, or, as it is also called, the "secret button", has become widespread. It can be hidden behind the glove compartment, under a torpedo, under the door sills, that is, in any unexpected place. It is assumed that only the driver knows its location.
Step 3
To disable the Valet equipped alarm, follow the steps described in the system manual. Open the driver's door and ignoring the heart-rending howl of the siren, insert the key into the ignition and turn it. Then press the Valet button twice briefly. The alarm will turn off and the car can be started. If the button does not work or it simply does not work, find the alarm unit. Pull out the wires from there, try to short them directly and start the car to reset the alarm.
Step 4
If the car is still armed, despite the actions taken, trace the wires going to the starter, ignition or fuel pump. Locks placed on these nodes prevent the machine from functioning.
Step 5
Configure some of the closed loop alarm functions. Directly from the remote control, you can change the central locking modes arming-disarming, disabling.
