No matter how they scold Russian-made cars, they constantly hold the palm in overall car sales. Of course, this does not depend on the general popularity of cars, but on the affordable cost of the car itself and subsequent maintenance. Although more and more foreign cars are worthy of price competition for them, the management of car factories is in no hurry to produce modern and safe cars.
Goes to Russian cars, of course, according to their merits. And among the constant claims there are some favorites. What are the buyers of Zhiguli dissatisfied with in the first place? The main problem of domestic machines is low-quality assembly, rapid wear of some parts, corrosion, and poor performance. Even a new car has to be finalized immediately after purchase. All salons selling AvtoVAZ products offer pre-sale preparation services. Otherwise, some cars will not even be able to start. After the purchase, it is immediately better to make the interior noise insulation, anti-corrosion treatment, change the battery and candles. So it turns out that the car seems to be not so expensive, but you have to immediately invest in repairs and improvements. And the amount for which you can buy a used foreign car or even a new one, even in the minimum configuration, but at least with some quality guarantees, runs up.
Vaz is inferior to foreign cars and in its relevance. One and the same car model cannot be produced for more than thirty years. Even in different variations. If earlier domestic cars had practically no competitors, and the car was rather exotic, now absolutely all brands of cars are represented on the Russian market. Even the Chinese auto industry, despite the fact that its products cannot boast of quality, is trying to keep up with modern technologies, even if in strange ways. But at least they are trying to bring their cars up to the world standards of the automotive industry. In Russia, a big breakthrough was the use of a driver's airbag on the Lada Priora, although it has been known all over the world for more than twenty years.
It is the low safety that is the main disadvantage of Russian cars. Crash tests of cars using the EuroNCap method, gave horrifying results. Only two models, Kalina and Priora, delivered average safety results thanks to the reinforced roof structure and side door safety rails. All other models showed the worst results. But, if you want to buy a car with an airbag, you will have to pay extra for it. While in all foreign cars a driver's airbag is standard.
The immediate plans of the Russian car industry have deprived motorists of their last hope - the course will be on the production of budget cars. Of course, it is not a bad thing that some Russian consumers will be able to purchase a car within their means. But even 250-300 thousand rubles is too high a price for life.
