The stove in a VAZ 2110 car is a separate system that includes a heater with an air distributor. Due to the harsh weather conditions in winter, car owners often have to replace the heater. It is quite simple to do this with your own hands, without resorting to the help of specialists.
Instructions
Step 1
Replacing the VAZ heater is carried out as follows. Open the hood and disconnect the negative wire from the car battery, then drain all the coolant. Then carry out a preliminary preparation: remove the engine window cover, the windshield trim, the windscreen wipers and disconnect the hose and motor wires from the damper valve.
Step 2
Carefully loosen the clamp that secures the heater steam pipe by disconnecting it. Perform the same procedure with the heater hose clamps, removing them as well. Take a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws that secure the heater housing to the shield. Remove the dashboard before doing this, as otherwise it will be very difficult to reach the mounting screws, especially during assembly. Remove the screws from the passenger compartment and carefully lift the heater.
Step 3
There are two self-tapping screws at the top, one more at the bottom and the last one under the sound insulation on the right side. Remove the heater from the engine compartment. Remove the front casing by detaching the two self-tapping screws at the bottom and the brackets at the top. After that, completely remove the casing and disconnect the heater electric motor.
Step 4
Next, unscrew the 4 screws that secure the front housing, and then unfasten the 4 brackets and carefully detach the rear heater casing and the air intake housing. Pull out the shutter and radiator. Unscrew the self-tapping screws on which the heater casing cover is attached. Then you can remove the flap.
Step 5
After that, replace the heater and reassemble in the reverse order. Please note that it is better to change the foam rubber seals of the radiator. Make sure that the fork aligns with the lever on the damper shaft. Otherwise, it can be checked by the raised position of the damper, since if it is lowered, the engagement will not occur. After assembly is complete, refill with coolant. Now check engine performance and enjoy your new heater.
