The heating valve of a VAZ car is usually changed by the beginning of the cold season or when the tightness of the valve is broken. A symptom of a malfunction (valve leakage) is the presence of coolant stains on the carpet near the front passenger seat. Consider the procedure for replacing the heater tap using the example of a VAZ 2107 car.

Necessary

Wrench set, rubber gaskets, rags

Instructions

Step 1

Prepare two rubber gaskets for the heating tap, a 23 mm clamp and coolant. Perform all work on replacing the crane with a cold engine.

Step 2

Using a screwdriver in the engine compartment, loosen the clamp holding the inlet hose. Remove the hose from the bottom of the tap.

Step 3

Move the lower arm of the ventilation system control unit to the extreme right position. This will close the air dampers of the side air ducts.

Step 4

Remove the storage shelf together with the storage compartment.

Step 5

Using a 10 mm socket wrench, unscrew the nut that secures the right air duct to the body. Remove the air duct from the stud and disconnect it from the dashboard deflector.

Step 6

Disconnect the right air duct from the heater radiator shroud. Loosen the bolt securing the crane drive rod using a 7 mm socket wrench.

Step 7

Remove the rod end from the lever of the heating tap by freeing the rod sheath from under the bracket.

Step 8

Remove the two bolts securing the heater tap to the stove radiator. To prevent the lower nut from falling out of the socket, secure it with plasticine.

Step 9

Remove the heater tap by removing the pipe from the seal (it is located in the bulkhead of the engine compartment). Use a rag in case a small amount of coolant leaks from the radiator.

Step 10

Remove the two bolts securing the pipe to the heater tap. Remove the nipple.

Step 11

When installing a new heater tap, replace the rubber gaskets with new ones. Install the heater valve in the reverse order. Move the heater tap control lever to the extreme right position.

Step 12

Add coolant. After filling the system with liquid, check how tight the connection of the heater tap with the radiator and hose is. Tighten connections if necessary.
