The toughened rules of the road do not leave drivers with the possibility of dull tinting of car windows. If the glass is not visible through the light, the inspector has the full right not only to draw up a protocol on an administrative offense, but also to order the removal of the film from the glass. However, the degree of toning cannot be determined by eye.

Instructions

Step 1

Tinted glass must meet the requirements of GOST. To establish this fact, the inspector must use a special (note, certified) device. Today there can be several such devices: "Blik", "Tonic", "Raster" are the most common. Outwardly, they look like a traumatic pistol. In addition to certification, devices must be verified and have a mark of conformity.

Step 2

The devices, it should be noted, are quite accurate, however, provided that they are used correctly. If an inspector tries to measure the translucency of glass on a day when it is colder than 10 ° C outside, the readings of the device can almost certainly be appealed, because in this case it gives a noticeable error.

Step 3

It is impossible to check the tint in fog, smog or heavy rain. But the day or night in the yard does not matter to the device, the percentage of translucency can be measured in complete darkness. To do this, the device must be leaned against the glass with its “barrel” and press the start button.

Step 4

"Flare" and "Raster" send a directional beam, which, when reflected, shows the percentage of translucency. The higher the percentage shown on the monitor of the device, the better the driver, because this means that the glass absorbs a minimum of light, which means that nothing threatens traffic safety. The device is not portable, it depends on the energy source, and for the accuracy of the readings it needs a well-charged battery.

Step 5

It often happens that inspectors stop a dull tinted car, but they do not have a device for measuring the degree of translucency of glass. In this case, they can invite the driver to proceed to the technical inspection station for examination. To agree or not is the driver's right. After all, the inspector has no right to seize the car or transport it against the will of the owner or owner (unless, of course, the driver has committed crimes on the car).
