Documents to the traffic police officer should not be presented, but transferred. This is directly stated in the Traffic Regulations. The employee is obliged to handle the documents carefully, not to make any marks. If the documents contain money or other valuables, the employee is obliged to return the documents to the driver and require him to hand them over, removing the money and other items.
It is necessary
- - driver's license or temporary permit;
- - registration documents for the vehicle;
- - CTP policy;
- - for professional drivers: waybills, cargo documents, etc.
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, the driver is required to have a driver's license or temporary permit with the appropriate vehicle of the permitted category. Naturally, it should not be overdue.
In the event that a vehicle is driven by a foreign citizen temporarily in the territory of the Russian Federation, he has the right to drive a vehicle with an international or national driver's license, but issued in accordance with the international Convention on Road Traffic.
If a foreign citizen stays on the territory of the Russian Federation on a permanent basis, then after 60 days from the moment of obtaining the right to permanent residence, his national driver's license becomes invalid.
Step 2
The next document is the vehicle registration certificate. If the vehicle is operated together with a trailer, it is necessary to transfer the certificate for the trailer. An exception is provided for moped drivers.
Step 3
The required document is an insurance policy of compulsory civil liability insurance of the vehicle owner.
This document is not needed:
- owners of vehicles that cannot reach speeds above 20 km / h;
- drivers of equipment belonging to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation;
- to drivers of a vehicle registered and insured in a foreign state, subject to its temporary use on the territory of the Russian Federation.
Step 4
Drivers carrying out professional activities on a vehicle need to have a whole package of documents with them, the main one is a waybill, confirming that the employer has instructed the driver to perform a certain labor task, having checked the serviceability of the vehicle and the driver's health.
Drivers carrying out passenger transportation must have documents permitting the implementation of this type of activity (licenses, license cards, access cards, etc.).
And drivers carrying out cargo transportation need documents indicating the consignor, what exactly is transported, in what quantity, where and who is the consignee (consignment notes, powers of attorney, etc.).
If the cargo is oversized, or heavy, or dangerous, then additional documents are required, provided for by the relevant rules.
