When a traffic police officer stops your vehicle, you should make sure that he is really who he claims to be. Ask him to introduce himself and show the documents. Most often, the stop occurs due to traffic violations or to check documents. Remember that all the requirements of the inspector within the framework of the law must be met.
If you broke the rules and completely agree with the charge being brought, then sign the protocol drawn up by the inspector, but
please read its contents first. The payment of the fine does not take place at the place of detention. The amount of money must be deposited within two months in the bank according to the details specified in the protocol or in the payment terminal. In the latter case, a commission is charged. If you have not violated anything, and the traffic police officer insists on the opposite, no doubt, you should put forward your point of view on the current situation, but in a calm manner. When filling out the protocol, you do not need to sign anything. You shouldn't be indignant either. Go to court later to appeal the fine.
If the stop occurred for the purpose of verification, then the inspector will definitely require the following list of documents: driver's license, OSAGO insurance policy, vehicle passport or otherwise PTS, power of attorney, if any, and, in exceptional cases, passport. The latter is checked with a power of attorney. The abbreviation OSAGO stands for “compulsory motor third party liability insurance”. The keyword in this phrase is required. Therefore, inspectors always check this insurance certificate. Remember to keep an eye on the expiration date of your policy. An overdue document is subject to the sanction provided by law.
