In most regions of Russia, the procedure for registering a car has been greatly simplified through its automation. But innovations have not yet been introduced everywhere, so use the official website of the traffic police in your region to find out information about the possibility of pre-filling an application for registering a car and making an appointment in advance for a certain day and time. It is also possible to print receipts for payment of the state duty with the details already filled in.
Step 3
In the event that you pre-registered, then upon arrival at the traffic police by the appointed time and date (which you have reserved via the Internet), find the window in which the vehicles are staged by appointment, and submit there a pre-prepared package of documents. It includes, in addition to the application and the receipts already paid, your civil passport, vehicle passport and sales contract. After the inspector checks the correctness of filling out all the documents, it is necessary to present the car to the site for inspection.
Step 4
If you go through the specified procedure in the general order, then you will have to stand in line at the window for submitting the already specified package of documents. It is best to arrive early - it will save you time. Place the car closer to the site, because after submitting the documents, you will need to provide a vehicle for inspection exactly at the site, where, as a rule, there is a queue.
Step 5
After the inspector at the site verifies the engine and body numbers with those registered in your PTS, and puts a mark on its passage, return to the same window where you submitted the documents for verification at the beginning. Give there an application with a mark on the passage of a car inspection and paid state duty receipts. Wait for the speakerphone call and get the numbers and registration coupon.
