Step 1
It is best to install the child car seat in the back seat of the vehicle. In the front seat, in an accident, a child is at risk of injury from an automatically deployed airbag and a number of other factors. In trucks, it is also preferable to put the seat in the back, but if this is not possible, then it can be installed in the middle of the front seat. Just remember that you should never put a child car seat against the direction of the car's movement, since the same airbag, when triggered, can hit the seat with tremendous force, causing the child to bump his head against the back of the seat.
Step 2
Move the front seat forward slightly before installing the child car seat. Failure to comply with this rule can lead to violations in the fastening of the seat, which in turn will lead to a decrease in the safety of the child when driving.
Step 3
Once you've cleared your workspace, place the seat on the car seat and stretch the seat belt over the intended area. To prevent the belt from dangling, and the chair itself to be securely fixed, press on it with all your weight and tighten the belt. There are several ways to tighten the belt. Some seat belts are equipped with special removable clips (allow you to quickly and effortlessly fix the chair, which is very convenient), others fasten by themselves (the belt is pulled out to its full length, and it snaps into place when it comes back), others are equipped with connecting clips (such clips are used in when the seat belt is not fastened by itself). Also make sure that the shoulder strap is fastened, as the waist strap secures the child seat in place.
Step 4
After installing the child car seat, check that it does not wobble from side to side (slight forward and side play is allowed) and that the seat belt passes through all anchoring points. If everything is fine, then you installed the chair correctly, otherwise you need to repeat the installation procedure again.
