Despite the President's annual promises, many WWII veterans have not yet received the cars they are entitled to. What to expect from the authorities for those who live to receive the coveted "swallow"?
Instructions
Step 1
In the event that before January 1, 2005 you were registered with the social security authorities in line for a free or preferential car receipt, then you have every right to receive it in the near future.
Step 2
Contact the social security authorities, present your passport, certificate of the Great Patriotic War participant and a privileged certificate of a disabled person (if any). If you are unable to do it yourself, issue a power of attorney to receive the car for your close relative (without the right to sell or transfer). Your relative will have to submit the following documents to the same institution:
- the passport;
- power of attorney;
- a certified copy of the veteran's passport;
- certified copies of a certificate of a participant in the Second World War and a certificate of a disabled person (if any).
Please note: the address of permanent registration in the veteran's passport must correspond to the address indicated by him when forming the lists of the preferential queue for receiving a car.
Step 3
After receiving the car, you or your authorized representative must apply to the social security authorities to register the ownership of the vehicle. Attach the following documents to your application:
- a certified copy of the passport;
- technical passport of the car;
- certificate of registration of the car in the traffic police.
The relative of the disabled person will also have to present the corresponding power of attorney received from the notary. The certificate of ownership is drawn up within a month from the date of application. After that, you can donate, sell or inherit it.
Step 4
If you want to receive monetary compensation instead of a vehicle, contact the social protection authorities with a corresponding statement. Indicate in the application your mailing address or details of the account to which the money will be transferred.
Step 5
If the veteran was recognized as legally incompetent, then his legal representatives will be able to receive only monetary compensation.
Step 6
Veterans who received a car or money are removed from the register in the queue to receive a vehicle.
