If your car is more than 10 years old and you are thinking about buying a new one, then there are two ways out - either sell it to the new owner, or hand over the car for scrap. The procedure for writing off a car does not take much time. In addition, the state offers a cash bonus for scrapping the car for the purchase of a new Russian car.
Instructions
Step 1
The owner must come to the district traffic police department and have the following registration documents with him:
• TCP
• Certificate of registration or technical passport
• Number plates
Step 2
Write a statement addressed to the head of the traffic police at the place of residence. The head of the traffic police, in the presence of numbers and documents, can decide to write off without inspection. Even local inspectors have the right to inspect and issue an act for cancellation. At the same time, the district police officer writes a report, where he confirms that the numbers of components and units correspond and the car is ready to be written off.
Step 3
If you want to write off a car, but the body and engine can still serve, then you need to write a statement in the following form: "I ask you to deregister and write off, while I ask you to issue a certificate for subsequent sale."
