Step 1
First of all, pay attention to the radiator of the cooling system. On older vehicles, it requires periodic cleaning and flushing. Unfortunately, not all drivers carry out these procedures. However, as practice shows, timely care of the radiator of the cooling system significantly increases the efficiency of the heating system.
Step 2
Take care of the car's heating system. To do this, remove the stove radiator. It is not necessary to completely remove the dashboard for this, it is enough to slide it towards you, freeing it from the fasteners. Insulate and insulate the space around the radiator using foil-clad thermal insulation material. Carry out a complete diagnosis of the heating system and eliminate any problems found.
Step 3
Insulate all hoses and pipes for the heating system. Here, too, foil-clad heat-insulating material is recommended for use. The technology is simple: measure the length and diameter of the pipeline (hose) and calculate the circumference from the diameter. According to the obtained dimensions, cut in the workpiece and wrap it around the hose. Secure with suitable cable ties or epoxy.

Insulate the engine compartment. The easiest way to do this is to buy and install a radiator grille insulation and a hood lid insulation. Do not use different blankets for the engine compartment. They are dangerous due to possible fire. Purchase only those insulation that is attached to the hood lid from the inside. Wash your car at a car wash. If water enters the passenger compartment, this is a sign of wear (breakage, damage) of the seal in this place. Do not try to save and repair them - it is a waste of time and energy. Better buy a complete set and replace the seals
Step 5
Take care of interior insulation and soundproofing. This is the most difficult, time consuming and time consuming process. Completely remove the interior trim and cover it with thermal insulation materials. Be sure to insulate the floor, the wall between the passenger compartment and the trunk. You can insulate the doors by filling the space inside the door with thermal insulation.
Step 6
Carefully consider the choice of thermal insulation material. Its thickness should be at least 15-20 mm. If the car is operated in northern regions, then at least 30 mm. In addition, the selected product must not absorb water. Over time, such material will begin to rot with the release of a characteristic unpleasant odor.
Step 7
Purchase and install heated seat covers. They are required at least for the driver's seat. In addition to increasing comfort and creating warmth, they will help prevent the driver's occupational diseases - osteochondrosis and radiculitis.
Step 8
Install a pre-heater with a multifunction timer on the engine, which allows you to warm up the car several times a night and start the heating function from a remote control or a mobile phone. This will allow you to get into a car with an already warmed-up interior and engine every morning.
