In an ordinary unheated garage or in a street parking in winter, the question arises: how to quickly warm up the interior? As a rule, the car starts up in advance so that the engine warms up and the temperature in the cabin rises. However, there are small nuances that allow you to reduce time and save gasoline.
Instructions
Step 1
Do not leave the car for a long time with the windows tightly closed. Moreover, if the car is in the garage, it is not in danger of breaking and entering. Otherwise, when the stove is turned on, the glass will instantly become covered with an ice film. When closing the car at night, lift one of the door windows not completely, leaving a narrow strip.
Step 2
After starting the engine, raise the glass to the end and turn on the oven fan to position "2". Do not set the temperature to maximum, but switch the ventilation of the passenger compartment to recirculation mode. Allow the engine time to warm up and enter operating mode. Be sure to open the garage door so that the exhaust fumes can go outside.
Step 3
When the engine sound becomes even and the red thermometer on the dash turns green, drive the car out of the garage. Increase the fan speed, set the temperature to maximum. Remove the toggle switch for interior ventilation from recirculation mode, otherwise the windshield will start to fog up.
Step 4
Invite your family to the car. Start moving slowly when the temperature sensor is green. This way you warm up the engine faster without harming it. As soon as the engine is fully warmed up and the green temperature icon on the instrument panel goes out, add gas and go into normal driving mode.
Step 5
You can additionally warm up the interior by purchasing an electric car heater. Electro-ceramic heaters produced today are equipped with a fan. The fan creates a directed, warm air flow, quickly warming up the interior. It does not burn oxygen or dry air. Plugs into a car cigarette lighter and delivers 200 watts of power.
