To make starting the engine easier during the cold season, a preheating system can be installed. Having completed the installation of such a heater, you do not have to worry that the car may not start in severe frost.
Instructions
Step 1
Check the cooling system before installing the heater. Prestarting heaters work only with antifreeze or antifreeze. Any foreign additives contained in the coolant are unacceptable for the operation of the engine preheating system.
Step 2
The heater must be installed horizontally with the outlet at the top. To ensure fluid circulation, the heater is mounted on the engine or vehicle frame slightly below the lower coolant pipe.
Step 3
Having located the heater at the lowest possible point, connect the lower radiator pipe to the heater. In this case, the hose from the engine is connected to the heater inlet.
Step 4
Connect the heater outlet with a hose to the engine backspace at the highest point, but no further than the engine cooling system thermostat.
Step 5
When connecting, it is important to avoid a loop in the hose when connecting to the engine above the connection point, as air pockets can form in the loop, preventing the circulation of the coolant.
Step 6
To avoid air pockets, fill the heater outlet hose with antifreeze, connect the hose, and then fill the entire system with antifreeze.
Step 7
Before turning on the installed heater, it is necessary to start the engine and warm it up to operating temperature. So you will achieve the release of the system from the remaining air.
