The bumper of a car is most vulnerable to minor damage. And now, when the paintwork of the bumper leaves much to be desired, you are faced with a dilemma: restore the bumper on your own or seek help from specialists. I opted for the restoration of the paintwork with my own hands, because it significantly saved my budget.

Instructions
Step 1
First, we prepare the room in which we will paint the bumper (garage). To do this, thoroughly vacuum it, and also remove all unnecessary items. Since paint and solvents are flammable, there should not be any sources of spontaneous combustion in the garage.
Step 2
Wash your car. For this, not only special car shampoos are suitable, but also any detergent. Wipe the surface with alcohol to remove any remaining dirt. Then wash the car again.
Step 3
Next, you will need to grind the car. In those places where you will apply the primer, sand with sandpaper with a grain size of 280-400; apply paint - with a grain size of 500-1000.
Step 4
Wipe the surface again with rubbing alcohol. The next step is to pick off the flaking pieces of paint with a sharp object (for example, a knife).
Step 5
We putty the deformed or damaged bumper surface. Sand the dried filler with 60 to 180 grit sandpaper.
Step 6
We dilute the soil by mixing it with a hardener and a solvent in the proportion indicated on the package. Pour the primer into the spray gun. We set the pressure to 3-4 atmospheres and spray.
Step 7
We dry the primed area within 24 hours. Then we grind the soil with 320-400 grit sandpaper.
Step 8
We dilute the paint according to the recommendations on the package. Apply 2-3 coats with intermediate drying in 5-10 minutes. When applying, hold the spray gun at a distance of 15-25 cm from the bumper.
Step 9
We are waiting for the complete drying of the bumper within 24-36 hours. Then we make varnishing. We dilute the varnish with a solvent and hardener. Apply in 2-3 layers. Each layer should be well dried.
