Traffic police officers can use only those radars that have passed metrological verification. Ask the inspector for a certificate of verification of the device. Also ask for the technical data sheet from the manufacturer of the device. It must contain verification marks. The name of the organization that conducts the check is indicated in the passport. Pay attention to the presence of the seal. In addition, the date of the next inspection must be indicated. It may turn out that the speed was measured by a device that did not pass the test. In this situation, you can dispute the charge of the alleged violation.

If the traffic police officer could not provide you with all the necessary documents for the device, then when drawing up a protocol on an administrative offense, indicate that you do not agree with the violation. As the reason, indicate the refusal of the traffic police officer to provide documents for the speed measuring device. Also, you can disagree with the violation in the event that you have been provided with copies of documents on the radar. Photocopies are not documents. That is why it is necessary to demand originals of documents.
