The inability to open the car after washing it in the winter is a situation that every motorist has encountered. And in the morning, when everything is calculated by the minute, you have to spend a lot of time getting into the car.

Step 1
After coming to the parking lot, having found that the car doors do not open in the usual way, firstly, it is required to find out the reason for such a "failure". And there can be at least three of them.
Step 2
First. The key to the door lock is not fully recessed in its larva, or, having entered there, it does not turn. This example is one of the easiest.
To overcome the problem, the metal part of the key is heated with a lighter, after which it is inserted into the lock, and after waiting 1-2 minutes, the larva will heat up, and after melting the ice it will turn.
Step 3
Second. The lock is turned with a key, but the door does not open due to the locking device being frozen in ice.
In this situation, it is advisable to have a medical syringe at hand, in which a couple of cubes of antifreeze or an alcohol-containing liquid are collected and it, through the sealing gum of the door, processes the frozen surface of the lock.
Step 4
Third. The lock is unlocked, but the door does not open due to the seal frozen to the body. Further application of force to open the machine may damage the elastic.
To avoid such damage to the seal, the frozen places are treated with an anti-freeze liquid from a medical syringe. Antifreeze or alcohol will dissolve the ice, and the owner will get into the car without any obstacles or damage to himself.
