The main type of earthmoving machines are excavators. This heavy equipment is indispensable in the construction and mining industry, as it can perform many different operations: digging trenches, pouring soil, crushing the roadbed and much more. So that the excavator you have chosen does not disappoint in consequence, you must take into account some of the nuances.
Necessary
- - a computer with Internet access;
- - newspaper with ads;
- - advertising brochures.
Instructions
Step 1
To choose the right earth-moving machine, estimate the scope of the proposed work. So, for long-term and large-scale work, a full-sized modification is suitable. If the volume is small and at the same time the space is limited (full-fledged equipment will not be able to turn around), stop the choice on a mini-excavator. An excavator tractor that combines the functions of both machines at the same time can be an excellent option for use on a construction site.
Step 2
When choosing an excavator, take into account not only its technical characteristics: the design of the working suspension, the lifting capacity, the depth of the trench to be dug, the lifting height and volume of the bucket, etc., but also pay attention to the conditions (climatic, soil) of machine operation. For example, to work on soft, rocky soils or where you need a high cross-country ability of equipment, choose tracked equipment. For urban conditions, soil with a high bearing capacity, as well as with the necessary frequent relocations from one site to another, it would be more expedient to look at a pneumatic model. If you plan to use the earthmoving machine at low temperatures, opt for the northern version of the excavator (there is also a tropical version for work in hot climates).
Step 3
When inspecting a used excavator, pay attention to the appearance: the presence of dents, various types of distortions, the presence of welds on metal structures, wear of the undercarriage, etc. In addition, check the condition of the rubber parts: hoses, cuffs, etc., so that they are not cracked, as well as the hinge joints for play. Remember to check the pressure in the hydraulic system. Take an interest in the developed excavator and check all the working mechanisms.
Step 4
Ask to show the documents for the equipment. In them, see where and how many times the excavator was serviced. If you have any doubts - do not rush to buy or rent an earth-moving machine, look for one that will satisfy all your needs.
