Necessary

  • - drill;
  • - roulette;
  • - repair tape;
  • - side cutters;
  • - screwdriver;
  • - wires.

Instructions

Step 1

Parking sensors differ in the total number of sensors included. If the set includes 8 sensors, then 4 are placed back and four forward. If there are 6 sensors, 2 are installed forward and 4 back.

Step 2

Mark the sensor line on the rear bumper. To do this, use a tape measure to measure 10-15cm from the left and right edges of the bumper. Mark these lines with tape. Measure the remaining distance from the resulting lines with a tape measure. Divide the resulting figure by three. You should have four horizontal lines marked with duct tape. From the ground, measure the height 55-65cm to each of the resulting lines. This will be the location of the hole for the sensors. The locations of the sensors on the front bumper are marked in the same way if you install 4 sensors.

Step 3

Drill the holes obtained and insert the sensors. Pull the wires from them into the luggage compartment through the rubber plug. If there is no plug, drill a small hole yourself, insert the plug and run the wires. The front bumper is done in a similar way. Only the wires are pulled into the passenger compartment through the hood.

Step 4

Install the monitor. The installation location of the monitor depends on its modification. If it has a rectangular or semicircular shape, install it in the center of the dashboard closer to the glass. There are monitors built into the rear-view mirror, and they are installed on a regular mirror.

Step 5

The wires from the monitor can be pulled into the luggage compartment, or they can be left and the wires from the sensors on the rear bumper can be pulled into the passenger compartment (depending on the model of parking sensors). If the wires need to be pulled into the trunk, disassemble the sills and extend the wires from the monitor and front sensors.

Step 6

Install the unit in a comfortable but dry place in the trunk. Connect the wires from the monitor and sensors to the unit according to the diagram. Connect the power to the unit. Connect one wire to ground, and the other to the reversing lamp.

Step 7

Locate the wire for the ignition and brake pedal in the OEM wire harness. "Build up" additional wires on them, stretch and connect to the parking sensors unit.
