VAZ 2109 is one of the most common models in Russia. This is due to its low cost and ease of maintenance. However, the nine panel is famous for its "rattling". To get rid of unnecessary sounds when driving, you need to make a torpedo.

Instructions
Step 1
Dismantle the torpedo. First, de-energize the car by removing the negative terminal of the battery. If an alarm is installed in the car, then it must be turned off to avoid false alarms. Remove all overlays from the panel. Remove the radio using a set of special keys. Disconnect the fuser control box. Remove all levers. If you plan to change the torpedo, then you need to remove the speakers built into the panel.
Step 2
Remove the glove compartment. To do this, first dismantle the cover by unscrewing the bolts holding the hinges. Find the screws that secure the glove box body to the panel. Unscrew them, having previously memorized the location of each. This is to ensure that the threads are not damaged during reassembly. The fact is that the bolts differ from each other in length and width. Disconnect the bulb inside the glove compartment by removing the cover from it.
Step 3
Unscrew all screws securing the panel to the body. Remove the steering column switches and steering wheel. Remove the torpedo by first disconnecting the wiring pads from the back. Apply several layers of soundproofing to the body. This will remove engine noise from the passenger compartment.
Step 4
Glue all joints and slots of the torpedo with vibroplastic. The panel consists of many parts that touch each other when moving and emit an unpleasant crackle. The back side can be glued with several layers of noise and vibration isolation.
Step 5
Change the color of the duct inserts and grilles. To do this, you need to degrease and sand them. Then apply two coats of heat-resistant paint of the desired color. The torpedo itself can also be painted. If the paint is not to your taste, then cover the panel with leather or or carpet.
Step 6
Make a pattern to fit the torpedo. At the same time, make a small supply of material. After that, paste over the torpedo. You can use a special adhesive film. It is very convenient and easy to use. If desired, modify the dashboard or install its modernized counterpart. Reassemble and install the panel in reverse order.
