Step 1
Before starting work, open the hood and disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery. After that, put on gloves on your hands to prevent greasy marks on the glass of the lamp. If stains do appear, try to get rid of them with a clean rag and rubbing alcohol.
Step 2
Otherwise, the spots will lead to darkening of the bulb of halogen lamps, and to its further failure. After these preventive measures, disconnect the block with electrical wires from the direction indicator.
Step 3
Then unplug the wire connector that fits the headlight. Gently press down on the latch and turn the hydraulic lifter counterclockwise. When you feel that it is turned all the way, remove it out of the headlight housing. Then, using a screwdriver, unscrew the bolts that attach the headlight on both sides and remove it along with the turn signal.
Step 4
Remove two more screws and detach the turn signal from the headlight head. Unclip the spring clips and remove the rubber cap, which acts as a protective tool. After that, remove the socket together with the lamp from the indicator housing. Next, carefully remove the lamp and replace it.
Step 5
After replacement, insert the lamp into the socket and the socket into the headlight housing. Then connect the electrical connector, connect the wire to the battery and check the functionality of the installed device. To do this, turn the key in the ignition lock and lower or raise the turn signal switch and watch the lamp work.
Step 6
If everything works as expected, then reassemble in the reverse order, carefully making sure that the latches fall into place. Then fix the headlight housing to the car body with screws and close the hood.
