The use of various mechanisms over time leads to wear and tear of its constituent parts. All details are like links held together in a single chain. The loss of one link from the chain entails a failure in the operation of the entire mechanism.
Low-quality fuel
A personal car may not start because of the fuel it is fueled with. Try changing petrol station. Fill with 92 gasoline only. But before that, carry out preventive work. Unscrew all candles and burn through. Hold the candle so that the fire burns the tip of the base and center electrode. Then scrape off the soot with a knife or sandpaper. If the electrode is completely burnt out, replace the plug with a new one. Choose three-prong plugs. Their spark power is higher, therefore, the degree of combustion of gasoline in the cylinder increases. Next, clean the carburetor. Remove it and rinse completely in gasoline. Refit only with a new repair kit.
Timing belt wear
VAZ 2109 cars often do not start due to deformation of the timing belt. Timing abbreviation stands for gas distribution mechanism. Such a mechanism consists of a camshaft and drive mechanisms, which together regulate the valve timing. This process is one of the main ones in the internal combustion engine. The belt drives the shaft. Strong wear is unacceptable. These things should be checked regularly. A broken timing belt can cause serious engine damage. The belt is a consumable item. It cannot be restored. You will have to purchase it from an auto parts store. When buying, pay attention to the thickness of the cover, the diameter and the degree of rigidity of the belt.
Piston wear
Another reason may be piston wear. There is a certain informal standard that the engine of a domestic car should be sorted out every seven to ten years. This supposedly excludes any possibility that the engine will jam. The advantage of this overhaul is undoubtedly the update of some details. The disadvantage is that every time you disassemble and assemble the engine, it will lose its resource.
Many factors affect piston wear. This is gasoline, and driving style, and how often the engine oil changes. Piston rings wear out most quickly. In second place is the piston pin. Its deformation is accompanied by a characteristic ringing when the engine is running. The pistons themselves have a fairly long service life. They are made from a special metal and then calcined to withstand high temperatures. When replacing a piston, be extremely careful. When putting the cylinder back in, do not break the piston rings. They are quite fragile.
