The active subwoofer has always attracted the attention of car audio lovers. This is quite a simple and inexpensive option to significantly add bass and increase the volume of the sound of car speakers, but to connect it, you need to do not very simple work.

Instructions
Step 1
Take off your car radio and see if it has a line-out for a subwoofer. If so, then you will have full control over the sound, and you can fine-tune the sound pairing of the subwoofer with the speakers. If there is no line-out, you can also connect a subwoofer, but in this case, in order to adjust the parameters of the subwoofer, you will have to do it in the trunk on the installed subwoofer, which is quite inconvenient.
Step 2
Usually an active subwoofer is installed in the trunk. Pass the power plus there, the control wire from the radio and make the power minus.
Step 3
To make a negative wire, take a suitable piece of a stranded power cable, with a cross section of 6 square millimeters and wrap the stripped end in 1 turn around any bolt screwed to the body, having previously unscrewed this bolt and cleaned the paint at the place of the electrical contact of the wire with the body. Tighten the bolt with the negative wire wrapped around it. Power minus is ready.
Step 4
Now make a power plus. To do this, pull a stranded power wire with a cross section of 6 square millimeters through the passenger compartment into the trunk. Find a hole in the bulkhead between the passenger compartment and the engine compartment, if not, drill it with a drill. Insert the supply wire into this hole, sealing it with a suitable rubber grommet. It will seal the hole, prevent the wire from rubbing along its edge and prevent chafing of the insulation. Lead the supply wire to the positive terminal of the battery, secure it along its entire length with plastic clamps and connect it to the positive terminal of the battery. Be sure to insert the fuse holder into the power cable directly at the positive terminal of the battery.
Step 5
Connect the signal cables to the line-out of the car radio to the subwoofer. Also connect the control wire to turn on the subwoofer amplifier. If your radio does not have line outputs, use the high-amplitude inputs of the built-in amplifier. On inexpensive models of active subwoofers they are. Connect the high-amplitude inputs connector to the rear speaker wiring, observing the polarity. Insulate the connections with electrical tape. Route the control and signal wires into the trunk, where the connector block for the built-in amplifier of the subwoofer will be located.
Step 6
Connect all wires to the subwoofer amplifier according to the diagram. Insert the power fuse and turn on the subwoofer to test if it works.

Customize the sound to your liking.
Step 8
Replace the radio and secure the subwoofer.
