An obligatory procedure for calculating and compensating for damage from an accident is an examination of a car that has been involved in an accident. The assessment measures of the damaged vehicle include several stages and, for a positive result (reimbursement of the entire amount for repairs), they require strict adherence to the regulations.
Instructions
Step 1
The main task of the appraiser is to carry out an automotive examination, which establishes the degree of damage to the car, as well as the amount of costs necessary for the complete restoration of the vehicle after an accident.
Step 2
At the first stage, the owner of the car should decide on an appraisal organization that will undertake all expert work (regulated by Article 15.1 of the Law "On Appraisal Activities"). Adequacy, competence, experience and possession of the basic norms of the law by an appraiser are factors that can affect the final result of an independent examination of a car.
Step 3
Enter into a written contract with the firm detailing all the terms of the assessment procedure. You can call a specialist to your garage / observation deck, or provide a car directly to an expert organization.
Step 4
Inspection of the car is carried out by verbal or written agreement with the appraiser at the time and place of the procedure. Call in advance by the appointed time of the examination of all interested participants or their proxies. For insurance on the day of the independent examination of the car, invite your relatives and friends, who are ready to subsequently confirm the fact of the inspection of the vehicle.
Step 5
To organize work on the assessment of damage to the car, you will be required to submit documents: passport of the vehicle owner; machine registration certificate; an accident certificate provided by a traffic police officer. It is recommended to wash the vehicle before inspection, so that nothing will interfere with the assessment of damage.
Step 6
The procedure is as follows: a specialist fixes the defects, the general condition of the car before the accident, takes photographs of new damages caused by the accident. Make sure the camera lens captures the license plates, identification number, every detail. In addition to photographs, the evaluator must state the nature of the damage in writing. The conclusions of the automotive examination depend on the literacy and completeness of drawing up the inspection report. In order not to remain undetected hidden damages, demand to include in the document indications of their possibility. Sign the act after reading it carefully. Ask to rewrite inaccurate / incomplete language. In addition to the painting, the car owner must put a mark: "I have read the contract."
Step 7
At the final stage, the appraiser draws up a conclusion with a list of required repair work and their cost, taking into account standard labor standards. The conclusion is accompanied by a photo-table (pictures in the form of a table). The report on the assessment of the market value of the restoration of a car damaged in an accident must be executed in accordance with the law "On appraisal activities" and the current standards - FSO-1, FSO-2 and FSO-3.
