The car owner can terminate the CASCO contract at his own discretion, for example, when selling a car or in case of any unforeseen problems with the insured company. Upon cancellation of the CASCO agreement, the insurance company is obliged to pay the unspent amount of the insurance premium.
It is necessary
- - application form;
- - insurance policy;
- - an identity document.
Instructions
Step 1
Before terminating the agreement, study it thoroughly, especially the section "Rights and obligations of the parties." This section specifies the terms of termination of the contract and the time frame for notifying the company of your desire to terminate the contract (approximately 14 calendar days). You should have received a contract when insuring your vehicle from a company representative
Step 2
Fill out a specially designed termination form. You can get it by contacting the insurance company in person, or by phone ask the policyholder to send you the form by e-mail. If the company does not have a special form, write a statement in any form addressed to the general director of the company or another person who has entered into a contract with you. You can find his details at the bottom of the insurance policy, in the place where the seal is put. In the application, indicate that you want to terminate the contract on your own initiative.
Step 3
Provide the policyholder with your insurance policy, written application and identity document. The firm must recalculate the insurance premium that is refundable. Each company has its own tariffs for recalculation upon termination of the contract. In general, the amount of unspent insurance premium is not proportional to the days remaining until the expiration of the policy.
Step 4
In the application, indicate the bank details to which the company could transfer the recalculation. The contract is considered terminated from the day you write your application.
