Currently, driving license revocation in Russia is possible due to many different violations. The most common of them is the revocation of driving license for drunk driving and driving into the oncoming lane. Depending on the violation itself, the term of rights and the procedure for calculating this term change.

Instructions

Step 1

First, remember the most common violations and the corresponding penalties. The term of deprivation of rights for these violations varies from 1 month to 3 years. Among these violations are the following: - driving a car without numbers or with their wrong location;

- violation of the rules for crossing railway tracks;

- exceeding the permissible speed;

- exit into the oncoming lane;

- driving while intoxicated;

- the presence of prohibited light elements on the car;

- repeated violation of the above rules.

Step 2

To calculate the period of deprivation of rights, follow these rules. Remember that the period of deprivation must be calculated after 10 days have passed from the date of entry into force of the court decision. 10 days are set aside so that, if desired, the accused can appeal this decision.

Step 3

In some situations, the deadline may come later than 10 days. In any case, consider it from the moment the driver agreed with the court's decision. Prior to that, he has the right to drive a car using a temporary permit, which is issued instead of a driver's license.

Step 4

To calculate the exact period of deprivation of rights, that is, when they will be returned, use the following instruction. Let's say that a traffic violation occurred on August 1, and the trial took place on August 20. Thereafter, the court decision was subject to challenge in a higher court, which took place on 18 September. As a result of the investigation, the term of deprivation of rights was 2 months.

Step 5

In such a situation, consider September 18 as the start date of the deprivation of rights. If the decision was not contested, then you would have to consider August 30 as the start date (August 20 + 10 days). In the first case, the end of the period of deprivation of a driver's license will be November 19, and in the second case - October 31.

Step 6

Consider also the fact that the start of the term may be postponed if the driver did not take a copy of the order from the court. In this case, count down the period from the day the driver received a copy of the decree.
