Instructions
Step 1
It is very easy to install tinting on car windows, but the process requires attention, patience and accuracy. When performing work, you should call yourself a couple of assistants, for safety net, in order to avoid any difficulties when gluing. Glass tinting should be done in a clean room or outdoors in complete calm. The most important requirement when choosing a film is its compliance with GOST. The fact is that the country has a law prohibiting the tinting of the front windows if the permissible dimming rate is exceeded.
Step 2
Since the side windows are much easier to remove than the front and rear windows, you should start with them. Remove the door trim, while paying attention to the so-called clips, they are very fragile and therefore it is worth stocking up on a new set, since the probability of their damage is more than 70 percent. Next, carefully remove the glass from the door. Wash the window very thoroughly with glass cleaner and degrease the surface with alcohol. Then apply the film to the glass with a dark layer inside. The main thing is not to confuse the sides. To avoid this, slightly separate the corners of the film. Next, align the tint and cut it so that the film goes beyond the glass at least 1 cm.
Step 3
Cut a piece of the shape you want, then carefully pour it with the soapy solution that you left after washing the windows. After that, it must be poured into a spray bottle. This is necessary so that when you detach the dark layer of the film, you simultaneously wet it from this device. To do this, you will need helpers, one person will hold the transparent layer, the other will remove and water the dark layer abundantly.
Step 4
Now carefully smooth out any air bubbles that have formed with a rubber or silicone spatula. This procedure should be done from the center of the glass to its edges. Smooth until all bubbles have disappeared, then trim off any protruding edges of the tint film with a sharp knife. And at the end of the work, dry the window with a building hair dryer. After installing the tint film, it is not recommended to open the windows for two days. And remember that when making tinting with your own hands, you have no guarantees for the work done. And you may have to do this procedure more often than if you went to a car service to a specialist.
