Necessary

  • - a roll of tint film;
  • - building or household hair dryer;
  • - rubber spatula;
  • - stationery knife;
  • - thin ruler;
  • - liquid for washing glasses (glass cleaner);
  • - spray gun;
  • - a clean, dry, lint-free cloth;
  • - warm water;
  • - shampoo.

Instructions

Step 1

If you do not have enough money for the services of car dealerships engaged in window tinting, then do the tinting yourself, with diligence and patience. First, prepare the glass that you are going to tint. First remove all seals and clean the glass well with a glass cleaner. When cleaning, pay more attention to the corners as they get more dirty than the rest of the glass.

Step 2

Next, wipe the glasses dry with a dry cloth and take measurements from them or make a pattern. Transfer the measurements taken to the film and carefully cut out the resulting figures, leaving a margin of 0.5 cm at the edges. Then pour a little shampoo into warm water and lather slightly, and then pour this solution into a container with a spray bottle.

Step 3

Cover clean, dry-wiped glasses with soapy water from a spray bottle. After that, gradually glue the tint film from the waxed sheet onto the glass, starting from the top corner. Make sure that no air or dust gets under the film during the gluing process

Step 4

As soon as the film is on the glass, begin to smooth it with a rubber spatula from the center to the edges, expelling the remaining soap solution and small air bubbles. Next, blow dry the fresh tint and leave it to dry for a few more hours. Cut off the protrusions of the tint film with a clerical knife as soon as the film is completely dry. Cut the film on fixed glasses so that it does not reach the edge of 2mm.
