Used equipment is in a diametrically opposite state: one motorcycle can be ten years old and look fresh, another - no more than three or four years old, and look like a piece of rusty iron from a landfill. In any case, such a purchase is simply impossible without careful verification.

The resource of Russian motorcycles before the first overhaul is small - about 30 thousand kilometers (there are exceptions, but rarely). Let's make a reservation right away, it is not recommended to buy an old "Java" - they have not been sold for a long time, and spare parts for them are extremely expensive!

The following options are possible: motorcycle without documents - comments are unnecessary; the motorcycle is not properly registered after purchase (in this case, there must be an invoice certificate); the motorcycle is registered directly to the owner; the motorcycle is registered to a third party that was once the owner, and the current owner has not renewed the documents. As you can imagine, in each of these cases, the concerns will be completely different. And of course, don't forget to check the numbers on the engine and frame.

Now you can start the inspection itself. First of all, it is worth, at least approximately, to find out the vehicle mileage. It is better not to trust the speedometer, the previous owner probably replaced it with a new one or twisted the real mileage. Pay attention to the tire wear: if they are new, then the mileage is not more than 10 thousand. Spin the rear wheel in suspension and watch if the chain tension changes during rotation, if it does, repair is possible soon. Be wary of all sorts of "alterations" and innovations. It is one thing if this is the installation of an additional headlight or trunk, it is another thing if the hands of an amateur designer touched vital systems and components.
