In modern cargo transportation, various trucks are most often used. The main parameters are width, length, carrying capacity and height. Additional characteristics are the features of the car and the area of use.
One and a half ton car (Gazelle)
Usually the cargo compartment is covered with a tarpaulin, which can increase the volume if the tarpaulin is removed. Cars of this class are most often used on short-haul routes and within the city. The cockpit has space for two passengers.
ZIL-Bychok car, up to 3.5 tons
Body up to six meters. These cars are now often used in long-distance and international short-haul transportation (up to 600 km).
ZIL vehicle, carrying capacity 5 tons
This car brand is often used along with the ZIL-Bychok car. It is often used to transport personal belongings.
Tilt car, up to ten tons
This class of cars can be divided into subclasses:
- a machine with a volume of 36 cubic meters and a carrying capacity of up to 5 tons;
- a machine with a volume of up to 56 cubic meters and a carrying capacity of up to 10 tons;
- a machine with a volume of up to 60 cubic meters and a carrying capacity of up to 15 tons.
Trucks of this class are very popular for intercity transportation. The cab is usually equipped with one berth. The cargo compartment can be in various options for unloading and loading (rear, side, top).
Thermal body machine, up to ten tons
The class is divided into subclasses in the same way as the machines of the previous group. A distinctive feature of such machines is the "thermovan", and the ability to maintain a certain temperature for up to 20 hours. In addition, machines have been developed in which the cargo compartment can be heated. The main purpose of this type of vehicle is the transportation of perishable foodstuffs.
Ten ton truck with 20 feet container
These are special vehicles with an attached 20 'container, of the sea type. The following types of containers can be distinguished:
- thermal container (isothermal temperature);
- ref container (with low temperature);
- container with an awning roof;
- platform with racks made of fasteners.
Such cars are used for the transportation of goods in mixed traffic, when the container is transferred from the car to the ship.
