On the territory of the Russian Federation, for the purpose of control and accounting of vehicles, registration of mopeds is mandatory. This procedure is not just an obligation to the state, it will help you prove, if necessary, your property rights to this vehicle.
It is necessary
- - A document that proves the identity of the owner of the moped;
- - A document confirming the payment of the fee;
- - Passport of a moped (if issued);
- - A document that confirms the ownership of the moped (for example, a sales contract);
- - A document that confirms your authority to register a moped;
- - Insurance policy for compulsory vehicle insurance or civil liability;
- - Registration plates of a moped or a sign "transit", if such were issued;
- - Evidence that the design of the moped complies with safety requirements.
Instructions
Step 1
You need to apply to the MREO at your place of residence, having with you a passport proving your identity.
Step 2
In MREO, you must receive forms specially designed for registration, and fill them out.
Step 3
In the forms, you need to enter the owner's data, the model name of the moped and indicate the number of the engine, frame, its year of manufacture, as well as the place and time of purchase of the registered vehicle.
Step 4
You must sign the document confirming the entered data. (If necessary, this document will be able to confirm your ownership of the moped, if required in the future).
Step 5
The inspector verifies the numbers that are indicated on the form with the actual numbers on the moped and writes out the title.
Step 6
The moped is assigned and you are given a state number. You just need to screw the license plates to the vehicle.
