But sometimes circumstances require dismantling the seats of your car, for example, when transporting bulky items or when changing covers. How to remove the back seat in a VAZ-2107 correctly?

Step 1
Examine the rear seats carefully. Find the location where the two clips welded to the floor of the machine are located on which the seat cushion is installed. Now inspect the shelf of the body, there should be the upper mounts of the seat back. They look like metal plates fixed in staples. The lower mounts are located far below, in the wheel arches. Please note that you first need to remove the rear seat cushion, and in the second step, remove the backrest. The order cannot be changed.
Step 2
Gently but firmly grasp the bottom of the seat (cushion) in the area of the welded clips. With a quick, firm motion, lift the edge of the pillow on one side, then on the other. Remove the rear seat cushion from the vehicle interior. Remember, if the upward movement is too sharp, the integrity of the frame may be compromised.
Step 3
Locate the retaining plates that hold the side of the rear seat (backrest). These plates may not be easy to find after the vehicle has been in use for a long time. Armed with a rag and cleaning fluid, wipe the parts. Once you find the plates, take a pre-prepared screwdriver and gently bend the mounting plates on both sides. It happens that from time to time they dry up and do not react to your actions. Then take a hammer and tap the screwdriver slightly forward to increase the lever.
Step 4
Fold back the plates and raise the backrest. At the same time, carefully slide the upper part of the backrest out of the brackets on the rear shelf. The entire backrest can now be pulled out of the passenger compartment.
