Step 1
Read the instruction manual for Hyundai Accent. It has detailed instructions on how to remove the seats. First, apply the parking brake. Open the driver's door. Remove the front seat headrest. To do this, lower it down as much as possible. After that, grasp the sides of the headrest with your hands and pull it up sharply. It should come off with characteristic clicks. Carry out a similar procedure with the front passenger seat. The rear head restraints are removed after releasing the latches on the back of the backrest. In the old Hyundai Accent trim levels, there are plastic headrests that are attached with self-tapping screws. It is necessary to unscrew these screws, then the headrest itself can be easily removed.
Step 2
The Accent seat anchorages are prominently displayed. If you are wearing covers, fold back their lower parts. The seat moves along runners that are attached to the underside of the vehicle. Press the lever and place the seat in the middle position. Find two bolts on each side of the runners. Unscrew them carefully. Remember that there are washers under the bolts. If they are not there, then the mounts will loosen. In newer Accents, these washers are plastic and may need to be replaced. Now press the lever again and move the seat as far forward as possible, pull up and forward. It will pop out of the grooves of the runners. The front passenger seat is removed in the same way. You can remove the seat in parts - first the back, and then the saddle. To remove the backrest, you need to find the bolt on the right and unscrew it. Press the seat back adjustment wheel on the left and unscrew it from its seat. Now carefully remove the backrest from the grooves.
Step 3
The rear seats are disassembled in two steps - first the back, then the seat itself. The backrest fasteners are located on the back side in the corners. You just need to snap them off. Next, find the axles on which the back rests. They are located at the junction of the backrest and cushion. There is a screw on each side. Unscrew them and carefully remove the backrest. The pillow itself is held by two size 12 bolts and two latches. Fold back the seat covers, locate the bolts and carefully unscrew them with a wrench. There is a small lever on each side. Press it down and pull the pillow up. It can now be removed completely.
