Instructions
Step 1
Take the wrenches and a screwdriver to remove the speedometer from the dashboard. Using a screwdriver, unscrew the protective glass: lightly pick up the edge of the speedometer and pull it towards you. It should come out on the sly.
Step 2
Climb inside and unscrew the speedometer cable from the box. Then take a 12 volt motor and a special cambric. Put the wires on the battery and begin to select the polarity in such a way that the numbers on the speedometer twist in the required direction. If for some reason you could not remove the speedometer, then all of the above actions should be performed from the pit in the place where it is installed. It will be more time consuming work. Therefore, you may need an assistant who will supply all the necessary tools and help hold the loosened parts.

Note that in VAZ cars, modern speedometers are divided into electronic and mechanical. If you decide to wind a mechanical one, then you will not have any problems with this. Since this is done quite simply: wind the cable in the right direction. But rolling an electronic speedometer, unfortunately, is a very laborious and more intellectual activity that will require perseverance, attentiveness and accuracy from you. And if you do not have basic knowledge of electronics, then you are unlikely to be able to wind it up.
