Increased consumption of engine oil and the appearance of blue smoke from the exhaust pipe, as well as frequent failure of spark plugs are clear signs of a violation of the tightness of the valve seals in the engine gas distribution mechanism. To acquire such problems, it is enough to allow overheating of the liquid in the cooling system once.
It is necessary
- - wrenches for 10, 13 and 17mm,
- - pliers,
- - ratchet wrench,
- - dry dish,
- - mandrel for oil seals,
- - a set of oil seals.
Instructions
Step 1
Some minders argue that repairing the engine cylinder head, associated with replacing the valve seals, is impossible without dismantling it. Although other masters do an excellent job of this kind of work without removing the cylinder head, spending no more than an hour and a half on it.
Step 2
The repair technology is reduced to the following:
Step 3
- The hood is raised and in the engine compartment from the engine, with a 10 mm wrench, the three nuts securing the air cleaner cover are unscrewed, after which it is removed from there together with the filter element;
Step 4
- Four nuts are unscrewed on the carburetor, and the air filter housing is dismantled from it;
Step 5
- Using a 10 mm socket wrench, unscrew ten nuts securing the valve cover to the cylinder head, which is removed after disconnecting the accelerator rod from the carburetor and the transverse roller on the front shield in the engine compartment;
Step 6
- The engine crankshaft turns, the marks on its pulley and the front cover of the engine are aligned;
Step 7
- With a 10 mm wrench, unscrew the two timing chain tensioner nuts under the manifold and it is dismantled,
Step 8
- From the timing camshaft with a 17 mm wrench, the drive gear mounting bolt is unscrewed, which is then removed, and the chain is suspended on a piece of wire, one end of which is attached to the bonnet locking bracket;
Step 9
- Ten nuts of the camshaft housing to the cylinder head are unscrewed, after which it is removed from the studs;
Step 10
- "Rockers" with springs are dismantled from the valves,
Step 11
- Having fastened the rassuhaka over the first, counting from the front, by the valve, the spring is crushed, and crackers are removed from the rod;
Step 12
- The spring is removed and the worn out gland put on the valve guide sleeve is removed with pliers, and a new one is inserted in its place with a hammer and mandrel;
Step 13
- The spring is installed and the valve is dry.
Step 14
- In a similar way, without turning the crankshaft, the oil seals of the 2, 7 and 8 valves are changed;
Step 15
- The timing chain is adhered and the crankshaft position is changed by 180 degrees with a ratchet wrench, and the oil seals 3, 4, 5 and 6 of the valves are changed in the manner described above;
Step 16
- the engine is being assembled.
Step 17
Do not forget to check the chain tension and valve thermal clearances at the end of the repair.
