Step 1
Changing the windshield because of a small crack on it is a very costly procedure. Especially for the owners of expensive foreign cars. But progress does not stand still, and developed modern technologies have been transferred to the masters to ensure the restoration of the integrity of the glass surface.
Step 2
The technology of sealing chips and cracks on the front windshield of a car is quite complicated. In this connection, it is strongly recommended to perform it in a specialized car service, where they can restore up to 98% transparency of the damaged area on the glass.

To stop the further propagation of the formed crack, in the places of its beginning and end, the boring machine makes holes, but not for the entire thickness of the glass made of three layers, but only in the layer in which it was formed, without affecting other layers.

Then the place of damage is thoroughly cleaned of impurities and degreased with acetone. And then a polymer composition is pumped under pressure into the holes with the help of an injector, which is fixed on the glass with the help of a vacuum device.
Step 5
After filling the holes and the crack with the composition, the injector is removed from the glass, and then the polymer is dried with ultraviolet light. After the polymer composition has finally hardened (this usually takes 20-30 minutes), the area of the restored windshield surface is ground and polished.

After carrying out repairs in this way, it is impossible to determine the place of glass damage visually, without special devices.
