Quite often, car owners make soundproofing of their iron horses. For this purpose, in most cases, a vibroplast is used. This material has good sound insulation properties.
Necessary
- - vibroplast;
- - roller;
- - building hair dryer;
- - glue.
Instructions
Step 1
Unfasten the door trim first. It is also necessary to remove the handle cable and the wires that go to the power window. Now you have a ready-made door on which you can apply noise-absorbing materials. Remove the plastic wrap provided by the manufacturer.
Step 2
Next, degrease the surface of the door. Cut the vibroplast into pieces and glue them on the inside. You don't need to glue the entire inner surface at all. Roll material tightly to the door surface. Otherwise, it will not work properly, and may fall off when heated. To roll it, use a special roller.
Step 3
Once you've made the inner layer, move on to sealing the factory mounting holes. The result should be a closed volume loudspeaker. In addition to noise isolation, the sound of the speakers should improve. Vibroplast can also be used to seal the mounting holes.
Step 4
Using paper and a pencil, make the templates first. On them, you can cut out even parts from the vibroplast. The pieces should be a few centimeters larger than the holes themselves. In this case, the material can be reliably glued to the door. If necessary, glue the entire door completely. Please note that it will be heavy. Use a building hair dryer when sticking the material. Heat the material and smooth over the surface tightly.
Step 5
Do the same soundproofing for all car doors. If necessary, lay the speaker wires immediately. In those places where the casing is adjacent to the doors, glue the vibroplast. Cut it into thin strips. Make them about 2-3 cm wide. The vibroplast should be at all points of contact. Assemble the door in reverse order. If necessary, replace the unusable clips on the door trim.
