Instructions

Step 1

Unscrew and remove the bumper. Place it in such a way that it is convenient to dock the fragments and align the cracks. Use a clamp that is applied around the edges of the hem. On the inside, use a soldering iron to make a seam. To secure the seam, take staples for a stapler, which are soldered at a short distance from each other.

Step 2

Take a sander with a P240 wheel and remove the paint from the outside of the seam, then solder there, also using the staples. After the seam has cooled, work with the same P240 disc. Thoroughly blow out the work area with compressed air, and then use a hair dryer to remove the formed lint and hairs on the plastic.

Step 3

Purchase a plastic putty from the store and apply it to the surface with a rubber trowel. In hard-to-reach areas, apply the material with your finger or a suitable object. After the filler has set, sand the surface with a P120 disc. Next, apply a primer, which you first apply in the proportions indicated in the instructions. Make two coats and apply 15 minutes apart.

Step 4

Apply a developing layer, for which use a dark base due to the light color of the primer. Dry thoroughly and sand with P800 disc. If individual stains remain not removed, then with the help of a nitro putty, eliminate this deficiency. Then trowel the entire bumper on wet using disc P1000.

Step 5

Dry the surface and degrease it. Take some sticky wipes to help remove all the dust and wipe your bumper with them. Apply the base to the primed area, carefully choosing the color of the paint. After that, wait until it dries, which will take about half an hour, and cover the entire part with two layers of varnish.
