Gas motor fuel is a modern alternative to traditional gasoline and diesel fuel. It is based on natural gas methane in compressed or liquefied form and liquefied hydrocarbon gases in the form of propane-butane mixtures. Liquefied petroleum gas and compressed natural gas are mainly used in Russia. Liquefied natural gas is also actively used abroad.

The use of NGV fuel is one of the most effective and at the same time environmentally friendly ways to reduce the cost of fuel and lubricants. This is facilitated by the difference in gas and petrol prices. Currently, the number of vehicles that use NGV fuel has already reached 13 million and continues to grow.

The cost of gas is 50% lower than the cost of AI-92 gasoline. That is why it is profitable to switch vehicles to gas, reducing the cost of vehicle fuel. This is convenient for commercial and state enterprises, since it leads to a decrease in the costs of maintaining vehicle fleets, as well as to citizens due to savings on gasoline. In addition, the transfer of state transport units to alternative fuels will save billions of rubles from the state budget.

The use of NGV fuel increases the service life of vehicles and simplifies their maintenance. The reason for this is its improved anti-knock characteristics, in contrast to diesel and gasoline fuels.
The octane number of such a fuel can reach 100-105 units, which facilitates the preparation of a high-quality air-fuel mixture.

The gas completely burns out, without creating carbon deposits on valves, pistons and spark plugs and reducing the load on the crankshaft and piston group. From this the engine starts to work "softer". The NGV engine runs much longer and requires fewer overhauls, oil and spark plug changes, and maintains low emission toxicity. In addition, in comparison with a gasoline-fueled engine, a natural gas engine has a resource intensity of 1.5-2 times higher.
