Many car enthusiasts do not trust modern automatic car washes, claiming that they spoil the paintwork. And in some ways they are right. Washing the car by hand is more gentle and allows you to achieve no worse results.
Necessary
- - hose with supplied water;
- - disc cleaner;
- - spray gun or special foam sprayer;
- - brush;
- - 2 buckets;
- - detergent;
- - 2 small microfiber rags;
- - a large microfiber towel;
- - paint brush.
Instructions
Step 1
Before you start washing the car, fill one of the buckets halfway with water, add a little special shampoo to it. Choose the dosage of the detergent based on the recommendation on the packaging. Pour clean water into the second bucket. Fill a spray bottle with water and shampoo, apply the product to the most contaminated areas. After 10-15 minutes, rinse off the foam with a hose and lather your car again. Take a soft paint brush, dip it in soapy water, walk it over the joints where dirt could get clogged, rinse off the foam again.
Step 2
Periodically dampening the cloth with soapy water, wash the car, being careful not to apply pressure so that the dirt is absorbed into the cloth and not smeared over the surface with the risk of damaging the varnish. Change the bucket of water and a cloth to clean ones, repeat the procedure, while changing the direction of movement. That is, if at first you worked with a rag in the length of the car, now you should do it in the width.
Step 3
Wash the wheels. Spray discs with a special cleaning agent. Despite the abundance of brands, all of them can be divided into two types - acid-containing and acid-free. The former, due to their increased aggressiveness, should be used only in case of severe pollution; if they accidentally hit the paintwork, they can destroy it. Leave the product on for a few minutes to work. Brush the discs with a round brush, scrolling through the slots to remove any accumulated dirt. Finally, hose down the discs with clean water.
Step 4
Open the saloon and trunk doors, wipe the ends, close the doors back. Rinse off the remaining dirty foam with a water hose. You can leave the car to dry on its own, but wiping it dry with a soft microfiber towel will help prevent drip marks and achieve a better shine. Do not forget to polish the mirrors, glass and chrome parts, after which the car really shines like new.
