Welding a car is a piece of jewelry, and without experience it is almost impossible to weld a car. Therefore, it is better to use the services of specialists from the service. Step 1
The thresholds are most susceptible to corrosion. They primarily need repair with welding. To digest the thresholds, purchase a welding machine, electrodes, plates, or a 5 mm iron sheet. Remove the doors, rubber bands. Treat thresholds with a rust converter, apply primer and mastic.
Step 2
Next, cut the plates to the desired width and length, treat them with a solvent or other degreasing agent. Continue weld longitudinally. The edges of the plates to be welded should end in the middle of the posts. Weld the edges with a transverse continuous seam. Sand the welded thresholds with sandpaper (zero), degrease, apply a primer and paint.
Step 3
If the thresholds are completely rotted, then it makes no sense to weld the reinforcing plates. Therefore, weld them off to the posts. Weld two pipes to the width of the thresholds, weld the plates to the pipes.
Step 4
If your racks have burst, clean all the burst places from paint, degrease, weld on the outside. But to carry out welding work only outside is not a sufficient measure to strengthen the racks. Therefore, cut out the plates of the required width and weld them from the inside with longitudinal continuous seams. Treat with a degreasing agent, apply a primer, paint.
Step 5
It is better not to cook cracks in the door, on the hood, fenders, but to replace them with a new door, fender or hood, since the body of any car is made of thin iron and will simply lead it during welding.
Step 6
Do not forget that any welding work must be carried out with an empty and steamed gas tank.
Step 7
If you do not have sufficient experience as a welder, contact a car service, since welding a car is a very precise and difficult job and it is very difficult to do it without skills.
