Your car rims can be of a design, shape, or whatever you like very much. But if the disc has worn out, and the paint has begun to peel off from it, it will need to be put in order, otherwise all aesthetics will deteriorate. Solving the problem of painting alloy wheels is easy if you send them to a workshop. However, you can save money by painting the wheels yourself, especially since you don't need to have any outstanding ability to do this.

Step 1
First, the disc must be very thoroughly cleaned and washed. You can and even need to use a toothbrush, washing powder, soap, cleaning agent.

But that is not all. Before painting, you need to properly grind and polish chips, scratches, paint chips and other damage to the coating. What to grind and polish is up to you. The main thing is that the surface is properly cleaned and polished. At this stage, more serious damage to the disc (scratches from the pads, dents, and so on) is also repaired.
Step 3
Then clean your alloy wheel from dust and other deposits that have formed during the surface cleaning process and degrease. This can be done with any solvent. After using the degreaser, place the disc on a slipway or something that resembles it (such as a bucket).
Step 4
Now you can start priming the disc. Four pieces will take about a liter of primer if you cover the discs in three layers. Remember to sand each new coat of primer before applying the next (where required). The paint should also be applied in three coats. When using a spray can of paint, keep in mind to find the optimal spray distance so that paint does not bubble or run. About 50-60 cm will be enough. Each new layer of paint must be cleaned off when streaks and bubbles appear. For this, fine-grained sandpaper will do.
Step 5
After painting and its final drying, varnish is applied. It should also be applied in three coats. As you can see, painting a cast wheel yourself is not so difficult, it just requires a fair amount of patience. However, you will be able to save some amount of money while doing this.
