Legendary British premium car manufacturer Bentley will launch armored vehicles. This idea arose due to the growing demand for unique luxury cars in Russia, the Middle East, and Latin America.

As recent events in these regions have shown, the issue of the safety of wealthy and public people is quite acute there. Of course, it is unpleasant that Russia also got on this list and was classified as one of the developing countries, in which there is a constant threat of murder and kidnapping.

The approximate cost of an armored Bentley is $ 500,000. The price does not include additional equipment and fashionable features. Such cars are planned to be purchased not only by people who, by the nature of their work, are in danger, but also by show business stars. In Russia, there are about two thousand Bentley vehicles on the register and another thousand cars from the same price list - Rolls Royce, Lamborghini, Aston Martin and Ferrari.

Bentley carmakers have adopted the wishes of "dear" customers and will increase their presence in the Russian market. Jaguar Land Rover has been releasing armored versions of its popular models for a long time and does not complain about the lack of demand.

Bentley representatives did not say if they have produced armored vehicles in the past. Prince Charles drives the company's bulletproof Turbo R. As many as eight out of ten Bentleys are currently sold outside the UK. The demand for them increased compared to 2011 by 32%.

The company hopes not only to double its sales by 2015 through armored vehicles, but also counts on promising new concepts. Among them: Mulsanne Convertible, Mulsanne Vision, Continental GT Speed, Continental GT V8.
