But tuning is not only external, you can, for example, improve engine performance at high speeds with the help of lightweight valves.

Step 1
The fact is that serial valves are relatively heavy, which does not interfere with the operation of the engine as a whole. However, by installing lightweight valves, you will immediately feel the difference, because even if the revs are "off scale", the risk of ruining the engine is reduced. It is important that you have a good understanding of what the redesigned valves provide. Firstly, the lightweight valve will not hang at high speeds. Secondly, the ability to pass air and exhaust gases increases, and, consequently, the engine power increases. In addition to all this, the resource of the engine as a whole increases, since the load on other parts of the valve mechanism decreases, as practice shows.
Step 2
Get ready-made lightweight valves from auto parts stores, but the price can be high. Some valves are made of titanium, and titanium is a light metal but not strong. Therefore, titanium valves may not be compatible with serial cylinder head designs.
Step 3
With the right tools on hand, you can relieve the valves yourself. Take out the "native" valves and grind their rods and plates, and also remove the "excess" metal by giving the valve a slightly different shape. Remove metal where the rod meets the plate. After this treatment, the valve looks like the letter "T". You can make a smoother transition to performance, this will not affect, your task is simply to maintain the shape, while reducing the weight of the part.
Step 4
Together with the tuning of the valves, other parts of the valve train can be lightened, for example, valve lifters (rocker). Of course, it is better to entrust the revision of the valves, their removal and installation to the car to competent and sensible specialists, if you want to drive the car for a long time and with pleasure.
